Motorola then confirmed that it would launch a smartphone in December, believed to be the Motorola X40 Pro with the flagship processor. Now the renders of the upcoming X40 flagship device from Motorola have been leaked before its supposed launch, courtesy of Onleaks & MySmartPrice. Well, as for the global market & India, the X40 is Edge 40 Pro. Also, the leaked renders confirm the design of the X40 Pro that was leaked in the TENAAA Listing. As per the leaked renders of the X40 Pro, the smartphone has a square camera island which includes the triple rear cameras with LED flash inside it, the Motorola Batwing logo in the middle, and the Motorola branding at the bottom. For the front, the X40 Pro has a Curved display with minimal bezels all around and chin. There’s also a centered punch-hole front camera. The power button & volume rockers are on the right, while the left side is left clean! The top houses a secondary speaker grille & secondary mic, and at the bottom, there’s a primary speaker grille and a primary mic. lastly, the Type-C is port at the bottom. The X30 Pro launched with a plastic frame. However, the global variant, i.e., Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, was launched with a metal chassis, and since the Edge 40 Pro is the successor of the 30 Fusion, we expect it to come with a metal chassis as well. The Edge 40 Pro is likely to feature a 6.67-inch 10-bit curved OLED display with an FHD+ resolution and 165hz refresh rate and also support HDR 10+. Under the hood, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship processor with LPDDR5X RAM and is expected to come with 12GB of RAM & 128GB storage as the base variant, and the 12GB RAM variant could come with 256GB storage. X40 Pro reported outperformed Mediatek 9200 Dimensity processor on the Antutu benchmark, scoring 1312901. While the Dimensity scored 1266101 on the benchmarking platform. The flagship handset will run on MYUX 4.0 based on Android 13 out of the box. The Optics, There are triple cameras at the back, which include a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 12MP telephoto lens, and as per the rumors, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro is likely to feature a new 60MP front camera. The flagship device is expected to feature a 5,000mAh battery with 68W (wired) fast charging and is IP68 rated. The device measures 161.3 x 73.9 x 8.6mm, and with the camera bump, it is 10.8mm thick. The company is yet to reveal the launch date of the upcoming X40 series. With that being said, Motorola has been teasing the vanilla X40 on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo so considering that, we expect Motorola to launch the X40 series in the first half of December.
