WhatsApp Will Soon Allow More Than 4 Participants in a Group Video Call
Now, WhatsApp is all set to utilize this opportunity to portray itself as a cybercafe and secure video calling app. Earlier, WhatsApp allowed video calling features up to four participants only but there are chances that it might increase the number of participants in a video call. This will create a tough competition for the other video calling apps including Skype, Hangout, Zoom and many more. However, these other apps are also going through some alterations for improving their features. Currently, WhatsApp allows only four participates in a video call. According to WABetainfo, it will surely increase the number of participants. WhatsApp wants to be bug-free before launching this feature. For now, the time limit of the video calls is unpredictable. WABetainfo spotted the feature in WhatsApp Messenger beta for iOS 2.20.50.23. For accessing this feature, users should update their app to the latest version, this feature will not work in the older versions. All the companies have asked their workers to work from home to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. Apart from WhatsApp, there are many communication platforms like Microsoft Teams, Teams for education, BlueJeans, etc., that are helpful in conducting online conferences and webinars. However, a few months ago many vulnerabilities approximately twelve were related to security breaches reported in WhatsApp too. WhatsApp claimed that these have been resolved.
